After some lunch and back to the ship!

After some jewelry shopping we were hungry for some lunch, so we hit one of our favorite restaurants, the Blue Bitch Bar/Taloula Mangos.  If you are ever in St Maarten, I highly recommend it - the food is fantastic (local specials, burgers, jerk chicken, and apparently a great pizza that we haven't tried before, but we will do next time) and the famous Blue Bitch Margarita (which I highly recommend.   We ran into our Michael's Club buddies - Michael and Richard (hi guys!)  since it's also one of their favorite places to hang out.   Apparently, they're famous, because the bartender made other people move down so they could sit at the bar.  I'll have to make sure to drop their names next time we're in town.......  :)

As we were leaving in the afternoon, there was a children's choir in front of the courthouse singing Christmas Carols (super cute, photo above)

The sun had come out and it was a beautiful day.  Above is a photo looking from in front of the courthouse back to the water taxi dock - and as we got closer to the beach area you can see what a nice day it had turned into - and how pretty the Phillipsburg beach is - although we didn't get a chance to enjoy it this time. (see below)  so we'll have to come back sometime.......lucky for me, one of the ladies at the jewelry store remembered my favorite drink was Ting and vodka - Ting is a grapefruit flavored soda from Jamaica, and it's AWESOME with vodka.  Thank you Philomena!  She had given us a to-go version since we needed to head back to the ship.....and while writing this I realized I CAN BUY TING ON AMAZON!!!  So I did.  It will be at my house on Wednesday (even before I will!)   I AM SO EXCITED!!!

Water taxi back to the ship

And the view from our balcony!  Much sunnier than earlier today - and a gorgeous view for sail away.  Tonight - we have the Chef's Table dinner in Murano (the french specialty restaurant) So THAT will be the next post.   With lots of photos of course!!!
